Macrina Bakery
Macrina Bakery opened in 1993 in a transitional neighborhood in Seattle, Washington. Knowing the draw of a bakery, our rustic breads and pastries brought customers from all over Seattle. Since the early years, we now have 6 cafes; an incredibly talented team of bakers, cooks, and pastry chefs; and the best wholesale customers the Pacific Northwest has to offer. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to using locally grown and milled flours in our artisan breads. We develop pastries with locally grown apples, hazelnuts, potatoes, and berries, in mind. From the early days, we wanted to reciprocate the support we received from our customers by giving back to our community and underserved organizations. As our business has grown throughout the years, so has our community giving reach grown. As part of our 3oth Anniversary Celebration in August of 2023, we showcased a fundraiser for the ADAMÂ Foundation selling Funfetti cupcakes for a week. Working with our customer community, we were able to donate $2000 to the ADAMÂ Foundation to rebuild their bakery. Our mission at Macrina Bakery is “To enrich our Community with the Joy of Artisan Baking”. Our hope is this donation will move the Adama Bakery in Uganda closer to achieving their goal of reopening and serving their community with joy!
